8. Opa! Opa!, 5644 J St.; (916) 451-4000: The cuisine is Greek and the service is fast at this little cafe with a big heart. We like to scoop up creamy hummus with wedges of grilled pita bread, followed by avgolemono soup. Next up are crunchy falafel and slices of broiled leg of lamb, medium-rare. The adjoining Sweetie's shop offers baked goods (including baklava) made at various local bakeries.
